St. Louis West/Historic Route 66 KOA-registered guests will have a new form of entertainment through a “jumping pillow” being installed at the campgrounds at 18475 Old U.S. Highway 66 in Eureka. The 68 by 33-foot fabric “kangaroo” pillow is surrounded by sand and has air inflated from beneath it. KOA General Manager John Bell said this fitness tool is safer than trampolines and inflatable bounce houses. It currently only is available to KOA park guests, but Bell said KOA staffers are exploring options for future events, such as making the pillow available for birthday parties. He said the pillow has been amazingly popular at their San Diego KOA site in California. The new activity feature is expected to be finished and operational at the local KOA during the week of July 10. There is no weight limit for it, and it has an anti-slip surface. It also is latex-free and allergy safe, according to the manufacturer.
