The Jefferson County Parks Foundation and the Jefferson County Department of Parks and Recreation are sponsoring a Junior Golf Program at sites through out Jefferson County this summer. This program is in cooperation with Sugar Creek Golf Course, Pomme Creek Golf Course, Joachim Golf Course and Raintree Country Club.

The program consists of mandatory attendance at one of two instruction and etiquette clinics at the Sugar Creek Golf Course Driving Range in High Ridge on June 6 and 8, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. each evening. At this clinic, area golf pros will lay a foundation for your child to help them be a courteous and knowledgeable golfer.

Following this clinic, your child will be eligible to participate in up to three of four tournaments, which will be held in June and July. Ages 7-10 play six holes and ages 11-18 play nine holes.

Finally, the top 16 golfers from this program will be eligible to play in a Ryder Cup tournament held in late July at a site to be determined. This will be a full 18 holes. Medals to be awarded.

The fee for this program, including all the offerings mentioned above, is $75 per golfer. Pre-registration is now being taken for this program, with a deadline of June 2, 2017.

Eligible participants for this program will be ages 7 through 18, and Jefferson County residency is required. Volunteers are still needed!
